Robert L. Blum, Esquire
Attorney Robert L. Blum has been practicing law for over thirty years. Prior to practicing in Pennsylvania, he practiced in Nice, France and Washington, D.C.
Robert received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1974 from Duquesne University and was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania in 1975.
He was nominated and selected to be a member of the Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers and was chosen to be in Who’s Who of American Lawyers. He has tried civil jury cases in the Courts of Common Pleas in Westmoreland, Fayette, Washington and Allegheny Counties, and in the Federal District Court of Pennsylvania. Robert has also been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Westmoreland Bar Association, the Bar of the District of Columbia, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice (American Trial Lawyers Association).
Robert has been quite active in community affairs, particularly through his association with the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club, as well as Rotary International. He served as the District Governor of Rotary District 7330 from 1989 to 1990 and has served Rotary International in numerous regional and international positions. He received the Citation for Meritorious Service from the Rotary Foundation, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the trustees of the Rotary Foundation.
Robert has also been active in his local community through service on the Executive Committee for the Boy Scouts of Westmoreland/Fayette County, the Frick Hospital Foundation Board and the Board of the Laurel Mountain YMCA.

Thomas L. Plaitano, Esquire
Attorney Thomas L. Plaitano is a partner in Westmoreland Injury Lawyers LLC. He has been with the firm for eighteen years.
Thomas received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1989 from Ohio Northern University and was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court, both in 1989.
Thomas has been a member of the Westmoreland Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
He has also been active in his local community through the Pittsburgh Emergency Medicine Foundation, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) and Reality Tour, a Teen Drug Prevention Program.
Thomas has always concentrated his practice in representing individuals who are injured either at work or through the fault of others. He has extensive experience in representing individuals in Workers’ Compensation cases and Social Security disability awards. In addition to representing injured workers and disability claimants, Thomas has over eighteen years of experience in representing individuals in class action lawsuits for injuries caused by defective drugs and medical devices. He has handled cases against numerous large pharmaceutical and medical device companies, including Merck, Wyeth, GlaxoSmithKline and the A.H. Robins Company.

Christopher A. Vallano, Esquire
Attorney Christopher A. Vallano is a partner in Westmoreland Injury Lawyers LLC, joining the firm in 1998. Prior to this, he served as a law clerk for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
Christopher received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1997 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania in 1998 and the U.S. District Court Western Pennsylvania in 2006.
Vallano has been a member of the Westmoreland County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He has also been active in his local community through his association with the Rotary Club of Westmoreland and the Sons of Italy Club.
Christopher has concentrated much of his practice in civil litigation, achieving superb results for his clients in medical malpractice cases, defective highway cases against PennDOT, automobile accident cases and other cases involving injured clients. In addition, he has a strong background in cases involving business and contract disputes.
